Wedding planning isn’t an activity attempted by a single person. Sure, it might all begin with one person’s dreams and aspirations for that “perfect wedding” [this usually is the case with a young girl or young woman whose daydreams are almost fantasy-like and eventually become more realistic…hanging on ever-so-lightly [or is that tightly?] to the essence of those daydreams and fantasies into adulthood…until those imaginations form into some semblance of a do-able wedding.
But actually planning the wedding…making such dreams come to pass, as it were, isn’t to be done, easily, by just one person. Even the most skilled wedding planners have assistants to help with their wedding planning!
Whatever the case with such lofty, whimsical pursuits of the heart, they cannot be pulled off with any sort of finesse or synchronicity of beauty without a LOT of HELP!
So even if you’re not the bride-to-be [you might be her mom, in which case, the task of wedding planning might appear to have fallen squarely on your shoulders!] you’re going to demanding as many able-bodied, unforced, pairs of hands, and equally thoughtful brains, to help you draw off what, to this day, remains as one of the greatest orchestrations of ceremony with social interaction known to modern society.
Do you balk at such a statement? Well, just think of it. In many ways, wedding planning is the organizing of the lives of two souls to be brought together—ostensibly, and effectively—also bringing together generations of family members, friends, work associates, and even complete strangers, to dress up in “Sunday best” [in most cases], meet in a single place on a particular day, coordinating photographers, caterers, florists, and many other working professionals in a manner that…all…WORKS!
Wedding planning, for sure, takes talent and EFFORT!
Now, you’re probably thinking to your self it takes the cooperation of many people, which is out of your hands—and that’s true, to some extent—but do you really think all of those guests, professionals, and participants would all come together without the diligent efforts of one “master planner”, assisted by dutiful helpers? And such is the essence of successful wedding planning!
