Question by Unnati ♪♫☼: What are some good wedding ideas for a friend’s parents?
I have a friend who’s parents got divorced, and her mom is getting remarried soon! I postulated wedding ideas under two days, for a really tight budget of 7 dollars. I have looked all over the internet and in books, but no luck! Help!!!!!!!!

If this woman has been married before, chances are very good that she doesn’t NEED anything. How about finding out what her favorite charity is and make a donation in her name with your $ 7. Most charities send a note advising the person that a donation has been made in their name, but they seldom put the amount. Therefore, she won’t know how much you contributed. I know the $ 7 sounds like a very small donation, but most organizations welcome ANY amount in this economy.
Another idea is to go to catch a sale on a picture frame. A mom can always use another picture frame!
Or….. If you’ve known this woman for a long time and have had contact with her or talked with her, get a really pretty card. Then sit down and HAND write a note to her telling her how she’s had an impact on your life, or how you admire her, or maybe how she helped you solve a problem at one time. A mom is most likely a “words” person, and will cherish hearing the things you write from your heart. Guaranteed to bring tears!
Good luck!
Make coupons for a service you can offer.
Examples:
1. Will mow grass or do yard work for you two times.
2. Will cook you a home-cooked meal and do the dishes.
3. Will clean your house one time.
4. Will babysit your young children for four hours.
5. Will wash your car.
I think your friend’s mom would prefer that you keep your money . . . and offer a gift of yourself, a gift of service instead. It is very nice of you to want to do something for your friend’s parents.
This is your friend’s mom who is getting married for the second time. Really….just give her a card. With your $ 7, about $ 4 of it will be eaten up with a card! Seriously….just give her a card and write a note of congratulations inside.
